Habitat
It inhabits open, sandy grassland with scarce grassy and herbal layer in lowlands up to 150 m asl. It is rather early species with the first records from beginning of June (N limit of its area).
Abundance
One of our rarest grasshoppers, with very limited distribution in SW Slovakia, with low abundance, the lowest among our Stenobothrus species.
