Habitat
It is mountain grassland species occurring between 600 and 1500 m asl. It is resembling Ch. apricarius, occupying similar habitats as mountain pastures and dense grassland along forest edges, where short grass and sparse vegetation is preferred. Based on the fact that the species belongs to subgenus Glyptobothrus (Harz 1975, Hollier & Bruckner 2015), we suppose that Chorthippus is correct genus name.
Abundance
Endemic, rare and less abundant species, with distribution only in mountainous areas of N a C Slovakia.
