This thermophilic species inhabits xeric forest steppes and habitats characterized by dense vegetation, such as unmanaged nutrient-poor grassland, semi-dry grassland, and forest edges up to 520 m asl. An important requirement for this species seems to be the presence of some woody elements of the vegetation, such as shrubs. (N limit of its range is Slovakia)

One of rarest and the less abundant thermophilous bush-cricket species in Slovakia, with isolated and fragmented distribution, only two areas of the Pannonian area.
