Habitat
The common Ant-cricket depends on its host ant species. It usually occurs in open deciduous or pine forests and dry grasslands but is also observed at warmer dry forest edges, in ruderal habitats, quarries or gravel pits as well as in urban environments and wet habitats, up to 1000 m asl.
Abundance
Less frequent species, parthenogenetic, less abundant with regular distribution mainly in S slopes of hills in S half of Slovakia
