Habitat

Ground-dwelling xerothermophilous species, occupying the gaps in the soil as an essential requirement in its habitats. It can be found in agricultural areas, sandy soils and salty wetlands as well as in gravel pits and landfill sites in lower altitudes (up to 350 m asl) of Pannonian Slovakia. A large proportion of population lives in the gravel of railway tracks, which also seem to act as migration routes. Macropterous individuals can be frequently found.

Abundance

It is less frequent, and abundant only in the best populated sites. More frequent is in xeric and sand dunes areas.
